I think when the bride hugs her bouquet, it’s worth a blog post! What do you think? This playful spring wedding was so much fun to create. So many of the flowers came from local farms, and they gave the designs a “just picked” look.
Amanda’s bouquet was made of clematis vine, sweetheart roses, cosmos, strawflower, stock and ranunculus. We tied it with beautiful ribbon tails from Midori, Honeysilk and Silk and Willow. Confession: I take the ribbon choices very seriously – I have 6 drawers full of ribbon…in every color you can think of. I order more every winter, in anticipation of upcoming contracts.
My favorite thing about this wedding is all the delicate wearables I got to make. The boys got pocket squares and boutonnieres and the moms got these gorgeous floral cuffs. The little flower girl got a delicate white wicker basket, filled with petals and decorated with little groupings of spray roses. All were created from several types of spray roses, dried bunny tails, champagne sweetheart roses and strawflowers.
This sunset toned cake was decorated and topped with dahlias, strawflowers, sweetheart roses, and spray roses. I love this type of cake topper, where the topper is on a pick that just sticks into the cake. This enables the topper to float over the flowers!
Here are a few more of my favorites from this playful spring wedding at Stone Manor Country Club.
