Sweet Blossoms operates with a focus on green and sustainable practices wherever possible. I place high priority on ordering flowers from domestic farms and am working to cultivate relationships with as many local farmers as I can. I compost all organic waste recycle at least 75% of all materials used in the studio. All designs are foam-free and electronic contract systems reduce the use of printing.  When I can, I try to order materials that have been made from recycled materials.

Supporting equality of all kinds has been important to me for as long as I can remember. For each event that is booked, a percentage of each setup and delivery fee will be contributed to the Human Rights Campaign.

I am interested in creating unique designs that have never been seen before. I am happy to provide inspiration photos and to use your inspiration photos, but each design is custom. I do not replicate other designer’s work. I will take elements of your inspiration images, combined with my own creative ideas to design event décor that is one of a kind.

Flowers are processed and sorted by hand to ensure that the highest quality of blooms are being used. Stems that are damaged, not fresh, or in the wrong color palette are returned and replaced.

Maybe you've never thought about any of this!  Maybe you've thought about sustainability as a general concept but never thought about how it might pertain to your florist.  Here are some ways in which hiring a sustainable florist can be beneficial to you.
  • WAY fresher flowers!  They will last into the following week for you to enjoy!
  • Much more unique flowers - flower orders are placed based on color palette, not flower name, so you will get the most unique flowers for your wedding, not a pre-made, generic, flower plan that other brides have already gotten.
  • You are financially supporting local, and American flower farmers, which creates more American jobs, and supports local infrastructure instead of sending jobs out of the country.
  • Your florist is using mechanics to create your designs that do not pollute our groundwater and fill our landfills with trash.

Why is this important?

In addition to bringing clients beautiful flowers to your event, I am focused on bringing more sustainable practices to the wedding industry.  For a more in-depth peek at what this looks like, you can visit our sustainability page which has tons of info for both florists and clients.  Here's what that means for my clients:
  • More than half of the flowers ordered come from local flower farms, the majority of what remains are sourced from within the United States
  • All organic waste is composted and reused on the Sweet Blossoms property
  • Sweet Blossoms does not use floral foam in our arrangements, as it is hazardous for our environment.  See more on that here.
  • Sweet Blossoms recycles or reuses more than 75% of all packaging and materials that come into the studio.

AS IMPORTANT AS LOVING FLOWERS, I THINK IT'S IMPORTANT TO THINK ABOUT WHERE YOUR FLOWERS ARE COMING FROM, HOW THEY GROW, AND HOW WE CAN KEEP THESE FLOWERS GROWING HERE ON THIS BEAUTIFUL EARTH FOR YEARS TO COME.


A second passion of mine is music. Wherever I have gone, whatever I have done in my life, music has been the soundtrack. It can lift you up when you are low and it can take you back to other places and times, all with just a few chords.

Something music and flowers have in common is that both can elicit strong memories. The same way that a song can take you back to a special memory, my hope is that perhaps the sight of a certain flower from your bouquet, or the smell of a particular flower from your arrangement might, in the future, be able to bring you back to the day of your event.

I WAS THEN, AND STILL CONSIDER MYSELF TO BE, A FLOWER LOVER, FIRST AND FOREMOST.

Before I was ever interested in a career, before I ever loved weddings, and before I ever understood that there was an art to arranging flowers, I was a flower lover. 


My husband and I can't express enough how gorgeous all of the florals were for our wedding. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful everything was at the wedding. Blair listened to everything I wanted and translated it into more than I had dreamed of for my wedding. Florals for me were the most important thing next to the venue and I couldn't believe how she took my ideas and made them into the most beautiful reality. On the day of the wedding, she made us feel so relaxed and was in control of everything so we didn't have to worry. Her idea to do pocket squares was a such an amazing idea and they looked incredible in our photos and made us feel so elevated.
