Core Values

I am interested in creating unique designs that have never been seen before. I am happy to provide inspiration photos and to use your inspiration photos, but each design is custom. I do not replicate other designer’s work. I will take elements of your inspiration images, combined with my own creative ideas to design event décor that is one of a kind.

Flowers are processed and sorted by hand to ensure that the highest quality of blooms are being used. Stems that are damaged, not fresh, or in the wrong color palette are returned and replaced.

Core Values

Sweet Blossoms operates with a focus on green and sustainable practices wherever possible. I place high priority on ordering flowers from domestic farms and am working to cultivate relationships with as many local farmers as I can. I compost all organic waste recycle at least 90% of all materials used in the studio. I do my best to use as little floral foam as possible. Electronic contract systems reduce the use of printing and when I can, I try to order materials that have been made from recycled materials. Do you ever create a beautiful wedding full of gorgeous flowers, and return to the studio, overwhelmed by the amount of trash bags that need to be taken out?

As I've continued to define what I want my company's brand to symbolize, I've become painfully conscious of just how wasteful our beautiful wedding industry can be, and it doesn't have to be; this is easier to change than you might think!

Here are my top 5 reasons why sustainability in floral design matters:
1. Sustainability reduces your company's pollution of our planet.
2. Reducing pollution contributes to reducing climate change.
3. Reusing materials for design mechanics and flower transportation reduces your company’s overall expenses, allowing you to invest that money elsewhere.
4. Without sustainability to save our planet, there will be no way to grow the beautiful flowers that sustain YOUR business!
5. If you still aren't convinced that this is important for global reasons, this is an issue that's important to today's generation of brides and grooms. Your clients will relate to this, even if you can’t!

It can be hard to reconcile the amount of beauty we put out into the world with the amount of trash we are also putting into it.

With all of the packing materials, boxes, etc that come into my studio, I still manage to recycle about three quarters of it, often more! How am I doing this? I am organized and my mind is made up to be a good steward of the earth. Sustainability is actually one of my CORE Values. In this downloadable PDF, I share tips and tricks for how I have organized my studio, as well as some habits I have adopted that help me feel better about my company’s carbon footprint. You can TOTALLY do this too!

Is it a little bit harder? Yes, until it's habit.  But what makes it hard is the shift in mindset.  There is a phrase: We make time for what is important.  I think that applies here.  If this is important to you, the changes will not be cumbersome and I have found that the rewards far outweigh the efforts.

This PDF is full of ideas to help you get started and I am here to help you!  Please feel free to reach out.  I am also available for consulting appointments!

For me, it’s just as important that I reduce my company’s carbon footprint, as it is to create beautiful events for my clients. without a conscientious focus on sustainability, the future of flowers looks dim.

When we know better, we do better.

“This quick guide is full of genius tricks for a string of popping “Ahaa!”moments. From experience in my own business, I can say the systems Blair advises can take you from guilty lagging behind your buildup of waste, to profitable, functional management that is deeply satisfying -and very efficient.” - Luke Simon | Mortal Tree Design, LLC. | DBA Gate Way Flora | Simon Certified Organic Family Farm

LOVES NOTES

“I cannot say enough about encouraging the use of her services. Planning a wedding from two thousand miles away can be stressful from a communications standpoint and not being able to meet your vendors can downright make you crazy. Blair put me at ease about the flowers I would be carrying down the aisle arm-in-arm with my father, the centerpieces that my guests would have conversations over throughout my reception and the flowers that my kids will one day look at in pictures as their parents cut their wedding cake”.

Sweet Blossoms is a woman-owned floral design studio that focuses on establishing a personal relationship with the client. This relationship is based on honesty, education regarding cost and availability of flowers, and a genuine concern for creating a design that is both reflective of the client’s personality and the quality/style of work that Sweet Blossoms has become known for.
