Modern sunset/citrus colored wedding in Frederick MD

Alexa and Erik had a Modern sunset/citrus colored wedding at Carroll Creek Park Amphitheater in Downtown Frederick and then had their reception at Attaboy Barrel House. They wanted a modern, bohemian, and minimalist look, placing bud vase collections down the center of the beautiful farm tables at the Barrel House. We used a gorgeous summery, sunset/citrus color palette which made a really playful and fun vibe. Alexa and and Erik definitely had a playful side, from the fun sunglasses, to the non-traditional placecard table arrangements which were put on amber beer bottles and growlers, to the on-site pizza oven that rolled in to serve fresh pizza!

Alex’s beautiful, asymmetrical bouquet was filled with a mix of citrus-y, sunset colors and we definitely added some tropical touches. Her bouquet included a king protea flower, coral poppies, red tulips, coral charm peonies, amber mokara orchids, red charm peonies, red ranunculus, hot pink spray roses, and my favorite dusty pink Romantic Antique garden roses.

We had some beautiful wearables for this wedding – a bright and summer-y peach and hot pink boutonniere and a sweet little flower girl headband.

Alex and Erik had a casual ceremony on Carroll Creek in downtown Frederick. There’s a cute little amphitheater where guests can sit, facing the creek, and watch their loved ones get married!

-Reception-

After the ceremony, guests arrived at Attaboy Barrel House for the reception and were greeted by a really fun and unique placecard arrangement, made from bottles and growlers collected by the couple. Guests gathered around long farm tables elegantly decorated with modern bud vases filled with matching flowers, and had a casual dinner of wood-fired pizza from Timber Pizza Company.
