When you see the flower waterfall that we made for this cake table, you’re going to wish you had a peach and pink wedding with pops of yellow at Strong Mansion too! One of my favorite things about this wedding was that I made a new planner-friend, in Marie, of Heart and Soul Weddings. She was so warm and friendly, and SUPER organized – everything you need in an event planner.
Can we just talk about this color palette for a minute? I know there are lots of trends, and popular color combos, but hot pink and orange, with pops of yellow is one of my ABSOLUTE favorites! In the dead of summer, this is the perfect palette to take advantage of so many beautiful local flowers! The rose in these images is a Romantic Antique, which is my favorite garden rose in the whole world and it really added a lush feeling to the florals!
Andrea’s bouquet was filled with peachy pink roses, stock, and ranunculus, with gorgeous bachelor’s buttons and cosmos dancing above the focals.
What I especially loved about this wedding, is that despite that bright and colorful flowers, this was a black tie affair. The linens were black, as well as the bridesmaid’s dresses, which made for a really amazing and dramatic background for all the flowers. Check out these dinner tables! I am completely in love with colored taper candles! This is totally an example of taking advantage of your florist’s rental inventory. We had mixed silver votives, colored taper candles, AND eco-friendly pillar candles. I love the combo of having all of these together!
Look at these gorgeous ceremony pieces. The cascade of the florals against the stone steps was so beautiful and…… BONUS! One of the ceremony pieces for reused to become the bottom of our cake cascade! Here at Sweet Blossoms, we are 100% on board for reusing flowers – it’s all about HOW you do it. We love flowers that do double-duty – as long as they are in water, and are moving AHEAD of your guests (ie: moved to the reception while your guests are at cocktail hour). Reusing flowers is wonderful – as long as your guests aren’t watching you do it! This peach and pink wedding was so vibrant against all the greenery of the summer!
Here is the gorgeous display we created for the cake – a summer-y, colorful floral cascade!
Here are a few more pretties from this wedding!
