The Quick Snip: If a flower looks like it's "fainting," give the stem a fresh diagonal snip with clean scissors and place it in warm (not cold) water.
Petal Cleanup: If an outer rose petal looks bruised or discolored from travel, don't panic! It’s called a "guard petal." Gently pinch it at the base and pull it off—the flower underneath will be perfect.
Temperature Alert: Never put flowers in a kitchen freezer or leave them in a hot car. A cool, air-conditioned room is their happy place.
🚑 Floral First Aid
Chair Markers: Secure ribbons tightly to the top slat or corner of the chair. If they feel slippery, a small piece of clear tape on the back of the ribbon can help anchor it to the wood or metal.
Table Decor: If you are moving centerpieces, always lift from the bottom of the vessel. Avoid grabbing flowers by the heads or stems.
Stay Cool: These pieces do not have a water source. Keep them in their packaging in a cool, dark place until the absolute last second before you pin them on.
The Pinning Secret: Pin boutonnières to the left lapel. Go through the back of the fabric, through the stem, and back into the fabric so the metal pin is hidden and the flower is secure.
Hug with Caution: Boutonnières are fragile! Try to lean slightly to the side during hugs to avoid squashing the delicate blooms.

The "Belly Button" Rule: For the best photos, hold your bouquet at hip level with the front pins facing your belly button. Holding it too high can hide the beautiful details of your dress!
The Dry-Stem Hack: Before walking down the aisle, take your bouquet out of the vase and gently pat the bottom of the stems with a paper towel. This prevents green water drips from getting on your dress.
Thirsty Flowers: Whenever you aren't using your bouquet for photos or the ceremony, put it back in its delivery vase. Even 20 minutes of hydration makes a difference.
