This whimsical outdoor wedding at Glen Ellen Farm in Ijamsville MD was the perfect start to my 2021 wedding season. Genevieve’s wedding was the first wedding I did in 2021. I viewed it as the first one back after all of the COVID shutdowns. Of course, COVID was, and is, still happening, but in my eyes, after doing almost no work in 2020, I was SO excited to put this wedding together.
The color palette was “saturated pastels” with copper accents with a beautiful, lush broken arch by the pond.
This gorgeous bouquet is made of 100% American grown product: pastel anemones, blush peonies, lavender roses, peach stock, peach ranunculus, blue delphinium, and some beautiful vines and ferns for foliage. My heart swoons every time I see this bouquet!
This romantic broken arch was filled with three different kinds of greenery and ferns, peonies, garden roses, delphinium, stock and snapdragons. This venue is so beautiful, I love how the arch frames the pond, and how the barn ruins can be seen in the background.
These king tables were one of a kind. We filled them with copper lanterns, overflowing with more pastel flowers, matching the ceremony. In between those, we used blush mercury glass bud vases and copper votives to add a second layer to the table.
Is this not the cutest cake topper?
Here are a few more of my favorites for you. Genevieve’s dress was absolutely beautiful. I know that it was chosen to show off her tattoos, which, if you have looked at me recently, you know I am a fan of!
